1/8/2015 CLEANLINESS IS CLOSE TO DOGLINESSBacteria can form on your dog's toys over time, so set a goal of cleaning and sanitizing them regularly in your dishwasher or microwave. Here are some tips on how to clean rubber, rope, and fabric toys:

Not only will you add an additional step, delaying the reward and promoting impulse control, but you will also remove some of the excitement associated with your hands.
Check out this interesting product from PetStages, which is great for dogs who love to chew. Seems like an interesting intersection between a bully stick and a branch, and a potential god send for those parents who hate the smell associated with bully sticks.
http://www.amazon.com/Petstages-217-Dogwood-S…/…/ref=sr_1_3… When cleaning your pup's Kong, fill it with water, plug both ends with the palms of your hands and shake it. Most of the food fragments will get flushed out, and any creamy left overs can be scraped out with the blunt end of a utensil.
10/22/2014 BOBBING FOR TREATSWhen you purchase a toy for your dog online, the fun doesn't have to end there! Save the box and fill it up with cardboard rings from cut up paper towel rolls (empty plastic water bottles work too, sans caps). Sprinkle some treats in the box, and voila! Your pup will enjoy this modified bobbing for apples game, and you just reused, reduced and recycled.
Many young pups lose focus during a training session. If you are ever in that position, try swapping in new treats for renewed enthusiasm. After all, variety is the spice of life!
7/23/2014 PARTICULAR PUPSIf your pup is particular about eating, consider picking up his /her bowl after 20 minutes. Much like we did as kids, your pup will learn that he/she won't get the opportunity to eat until the next meal. And if your pup needs a little extra coaxing by their second meal opportunity of the day, try adding a couple of sprinkles of grated cheese to the kibble.
4/2/2014 oral hygiene for pearly whitesTartar and plaque build up in dogs is linked to other health problems, so brush your pups' teeth regularly and leverage spikey toys like nylabones to help remove tartar build up!
3/30/2014 UPDate on pet jerkyAfter much controversy surrounding jerky treats, Del Monte and Purina are returning their jerky treat products to market after making changes to their product lines, including now producing them in the US vs China.
