Whether in the form of animal companions, animals in the wild, or even in bronze, our animal brethren always have a message to share with us.
Turtles symbolize patience, slowing down, and self-reflection. They are often synonymous with the Earth, the beginning of time, and creation. The wise ones of the animal kingdom, Turtles carry their homes on their backs and are one of the few animals that can fully retreat into their own shell.
Until May 22 we find ourselves in a period of Mercury in Retrograde, often characterized by confusion and a sense that we are taking steps backwards.
Retrogrades are great times to retreat within and examine our emotions - both light and dense - that want to be acknowledged, processed, and healed.
During this time of introspection, call upon Turtle to show us how to be patient with ourselves, our animal companions, and others, as we work through bigger energetic patterns that are ready to be released. Ask Turtle to show up as a gentle reminder that home is where the heart is, and that the heart truly is home.
If you find yourself feeling frustrated, impatient, or out of balance during this time, remember that all you have to do is go within, because like Turtle, you hold the wisdom of the world within your own shell.
If your pup is a tough chewer, this is a list of durable toys that your furry friend can safely enjoy!
Puppy growls don't always mean aggression. Watch for other cues with your pup's body language to find out whether your furry friend is being playful, blowing off some steam or truly uncomfortable. And remember: growls can be a puppy parent's best friend! They are your furry friend's way of asking for a little help ✌🐾🐶
🌊 Pet parenting is like the ocean. If you dig in your feet and try to stand your ground against an upcoming wave, you will get knocked down by its sheer force. However, if you accept that there is a wave approaching and let your body go with the movement and powerful flow, it picks you up and takes you on the most fun, refreshing, and cleansing ride, allowing you to reemerge with a new perspective and huge smile on your face. 🌊🌊☀🐶
Whether in the form of animal companions, animals in the wild, or even in chocolate, our animal brethren always have a message to share with us. This time of the year, it is not uncommon to see Rabbit several times in a single day.
Our bunny friends symbolize creativity, fertility, abundance, and luck. They are tuned in to their environment, including threats and opportunities, and rely on their intuition to tell them whether it is time to get over their fear and take a big leap.
As such a keen intuitive soul, Rabbit acts as an incredible guide into expansion. The white Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland led her down a rabbit hole that changed her life, teaching Alice of her own power and gifting her a new understanding of the world.
Just as going down the rabbit hole felt chaotic with everything turned upside down, the beginning of Spring can feel like an unsettled time when things have not yet solidified and bloomed. With powerful Equinox energies, this is a time where we and our animal companions can feel a bit agitated.
Take this period of transition to reflect with gratitude on what the winter season has brought you, and to shape what you would like to see blossom for you and your furry friends in the springtime and beyond. Although the energies can be chaotic, we can always count on Rabbit to remind us that we will soon see the world with a new, more expanded perspective
As warm weather approaches, this is a good time to look at your pup's leash and harness to ensure proper fit, and that there are no tears or rips. 🌱🌷☀🌷
As a dog obedience trainer I have had the privilege and pleasure of observing how dogs best respond to learning commands and new behaviors, beautiful ways in which pet parents and their animal companions learn from each other, and ultimately whether or not they are effectively communicating.
Our most basic and primal way to communicate with each other, and especially with our animal companions, is energetically. But somewhere along the way it seems to have been forgotten or discounted as being a basic building block of dog obedience training.
Whether in the form of animal companions, animals in the wild, or even in bronze, our animal brethren always have a message to share with us. My furry friend Neville brought me to visit seals today, which symbolize playfully opening up to your creativity, imagination, inner voice, and dreams. Let's all heed their message, take time to dream and play, and see what wants to open up for us!
Happy Monday!! Tonight we will be experiencing a beautiful full moon. For those pups who are sensitive to the cosmos, ensure your furry friend gets lots of exercise and do something that celebrates your bond together, whether practicing commands, reading together, meditating or even engaging in doggy yoga! Namuttstay, y'all!! ✨🌝✨
